Our mission
Camp X Camp is a joyful, art-filled summer experience where young creatives get messy, make magic, and grow as artists, guided by incredible working artists and educators of New Orleans.
Founded by two artist-mamas who know firsthand how hard it is to juggle summer, Camp X Camp exists to support families and the creative community. We believe in fair pay for artists, fun and freedom for kids, and a world where art and imagination are essential, not afterthoughts.
Through hands-on sessions led by local, professional artists and makers, our campers explore new media, express themselves boldly, and co-create a space where creativity, kindness, and curiosity lead the way.

Tiered Pricing at CAMP X CAMP
We’re excited to introduce a sliding scale pricing model based on the Green Bottle Method. This approach allows families to choose a price that reflects their financial situation while helping us keep Camp X Camp sustainable for years to come.
We know that artists and educators are often underpaid and undervalued. We believe in building a more equitable future where their craft, skills, and labor are celebrated and supported.
Our pricing tiers for Summer Camp 2026:
(Tuesday, May 26th - Friday, August 7th)
$425 per week/per camper
This tier is for those who are financially secure and want to support the sustainability of CAMP X CAMP. Paying this amount helps subsidize lower-cost spots and contributes to a more equitable arts ecosystem.
$350 per week/per camper
This is our true cost. It covers camp expenses and helps us pay our teaching artists and staff fairly.
$290 per week/per camper
This price is for those who need some financial relief. Choosing this rate means you're helping your child access a joyful art experience, and we’re so glad you’re here.

By choosing the highest tier you can afford, you help ensure Camp X Camp continues to thrive, and that the young artists of New Orleans grow up in a world rich with creativity, expression, and joy.

EXTENDED CHILDCARE
Before-care is available from 8:15 am for an additional $75 per week.
Aftercare is available until 4:30 pm for an additional $75 per week.
Both before & aftercare is an additional $150 per week.
Child care is available for $15 per morning or afternoon session. As needed care will be paid for same day via zelle, venmo, or paypal.
LATE PICKUP POLICY
If you are more than 15 minutes late to pick your child up, you will be charged the $20 aftercare fee.

How it all began…
Camp X Camp was founded in 2024 by Camp Street Studios artists (and mamas!) Sara Madandar and Robyn LeRoy-Evans.
As practicing artists and full-time caregivers, they knew firsthand how hard it can be to keep kids engaged all summer long—and they wanted to share their love of art with the next generation of young creatives. So, they rolled up their sleeves and launched CAMP X CAMP: a fun, hands-on summer art camp led by professional working artists and educators from Louisiana… and beyond!
