From Here to There
From Here to There draws on the image of a weather‑blown sheet of papyrus, captured by moonlight and reimagined as two intersecting ellipses whose dual centers twist along the same orbit. By weaving ancient forms, universal symbols, and weathered architecture into a language both intimate and monumental—often steeped in the spirit of cities—this work offers a surface upon which stories are told and re‑told.
Like papyrus worn thin by time and wind, From Here to There evokes the memory of architecture and the gradual dissolution of material over time. Four simultaneous video projections map onto a double‑ellipse, transforming the sculpture into a living vessel that draws viewers into the orbit of memory and motion. Rather than functioning as a passive screen, the architecture itself becomes an optical instrument—bending light, volume, and perception into a unified spatial experience.
Through layered materials, shifting forms, and luminous tones, this immersive installation holds space for narratives that have drifted—half‑erased, half‑remembered—yet remain inscribed in the fabric of landscape and imagination. From Here to There reflects on movement not merely as physical passage, but as the transmission of meaning and memory through air, light, and form.
